Capacitor Bank: The capacitor Bank for improvement of power factor during load losses measurement of power transformers will have following details:
- Three Phase, 500 volt, 500 kVAr shunt capacitor bank (in the form of 3 units of 100 kVAr each & 2 units of 50 kVAr each 2 unit of 25kVAr, 2 unit of 20kVAr, 2 units of 5kVAr) with suitable protection and discharge devices, bus bar arrangements of adequate size and switches for operating individually as well as in parallel combination etc are required for measurement of load losses in power transformer.
- The capacitor will be bear relevant ISI mark and will have low watt loss/KVAR. The capacitor output should remain constant for long period and shouldn't have corrosion effect. The capacitor shall be capable to bear transients and harmonics of reasonable amplitude.
